We left the Checotah/Lake Eufaula KOA about 10:00 AM. I had about a quarter of a tank of diesel left so my plan was to stop at the Loves Station about 15 miles down the road. However I got an ugly surprise when we found the highway exit closed. We ended up driving another 30 miles to fuel up. Then it was on to home.

3,583 miles and 33 Days later we pulled into the driveway. There were absolutely no issues with the travel trailer on this trip. I averaged about 11 miles per gallon on this trip, which I think is pretty impressive. on the way up jorth i was averaging 12.4, but a strong headwind on the way home brought my average down.

Now the real work began. It is like Restaurant Impossible when Robert Irvine says ”get everything out”! So the complete unloading of clothes, food, bedding, bathroom supplies, and Eva’s stuff takes place.

Then its time to clean the refrigerator and freezer. So while the frost and ice drip off the fins of the fridge I am running pantry food into the house.

In all honesty I hate unloading the trailer. It takes forever and living in Texas, its always hot when i do it. Once the unloading is done the entire inside is cleaned from top to bottom.

That completes day one of cleaning. Tomorrow is for washing the roof and outside of the trailer.

Roof done…its perfect!

The Trailer is now backed in under my shop overhang awaiting our next trip in a few weeks. in the next few days I will blog about the EFS fuel card and the RV Life App.

I thought I would end this trip by sharing some pictures we took along the way.
