There’s only one week left before the trip Northward. The itinerary so far is:
Home to Robbers Cave State Park – Oklahoma
Robbers Cave State Park to Linn Creek KOA – Missouri
Linn Creek KOA to Waterloo KOA – Iowa
Waterloo KOA to Pilgrims Campground – Wisconsin
Pilgrims Campground to Cliffside County Park – Wisconsin
The trip back home we are going to play by ear. We may come back via Tennessee for a more scenic route. The other option would be through Missouri to Oklahoma and then back to Texas. That is the typical route but I have to say it’s pretty boring.
In the meantime, I’m changing the LP regulator on the Trailer as there is a recall but no supply of regulators at the dealership. I found a good regulator on line so I’ll do my own replacement.
I have replaced all the water sensor batteries for the MarCELL unit. I’ve also replaced the TPMS batteries.
The new Ram 2500 is in for its first oil change and tire rotation PLUS a TPMS recall. So we should be all set to head out next week with Eva. This will be Eva’s third camping trip of the year and her second annual trip to Wisconsin. She has turned into a very good camper.
So, Please stay tuned during the trip as I’ll be blogging about what happens each day on the way up, and what the campgrounds are like. I will not blog about Robbers Cave as I have already done that; click here to read that review.
While I’m not a huge KOA fan, it’s sometimes nice to visit ones you’ve never seen. Plus, they are always convenient as a one night stopover. As I’ve mentioned before it’s hit or miss with KOA’s.
Since we’ve never gone to Wisconsin via this route I’m really looking forward to the difference in scenery.
I think I’m whittling away at my “trip to do” list – hopefully all goes without a hiccup!
