I spoke to the law firm that filed the class action lawsuit, Weitz & Luxenberg and was told the lawsuit refers to specific defective Grand Design RV models sold between 2020 and 2023. Reflection, Influence, Solitude and Momentum. I was also told that the are sub classes of the class action lawsuit in Ohio, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and New Hampshire. After GD stopped communicating with me I contacted Lippert and they came to me to repair are unit on 9/30/25. https://www.mygrandrv.com/threads/2021-2910bh-broken-spring-hanger-and-bent-frame.1116675/

Hey RW, I'm not sure that is correct. Please reach out to Pete West who runs the facebook page "Grand Design RV Major Issues". Let me know what you find out after texting him. He is on top of all of it, and a great resource. I'm sorry to hear about your 2910BH. I went to an RV show in Dallas a few weeks ago and a GD Rep tried to talk to me and I told him "No way I would buy a unit from GD after all the stuff that has come to light". His response was "I understand". Doesn't that just sum it up perfectly. Best of luck!

The right rear spring hanger broke free from the frame on our 2021 Imagine 2910 BH while towing it on 6/31/25. The break went up into the I beam web and took out a 3" chunk of the flange and bending the frame out about 1/2" at the break. You can read the entire story here. https://www.mygrandrv.com/threads/2021-2910bh-broken-spring-hanger-and-bent-frame.1116675/
I tried to get in on the class action lawsuit but was told the Imagine model was not included. GD owners are SOL as I have read reports that some dealers are refusing to take GD units in on trade and if they do agree to take it, the trade in value is next to nothing. I hope the lawsuit crushes them.

Hi Ron, Man I am so sorry to hear about all those problems. I would send an email to Grand Design listing everything that went wrong and what happened at the Dealership and the timing around all of it. Even though you are out of warranty they may do something for you. If you looked at my trilogy of terror 3-part series on my YouTube channel, you will see my nightmare as well. The long and short is that Grand Designs quality is pretty horrible, and it's not just them. Most of these manufacturers are shoving them out the door as fast as possible with very little quality control. Taking my trailer back to GD for them to fix the roof under warranty was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. Came out much worse than it went in. I hope things work out for you Ron, this is really unacceptable.

my grand design Image 2400 has already had 3 slide out arms replaced in it. Could this be because of a faulty frame? The first year we took it out for a week we found that the hot water tank didn't work, i found a dealer and purchased a relay so i could use it with propane. at our next stop we had electricity, and it didn't work using 110. The slide out arm near the bathroom made a horrible noise, water ran down the side of the camper when the awning was out but arms on the awning would not tilt to let water runoff. this was a ten day nightmare for our family only to find out repairs could not be made until winter. i October i took it to a dealer only to have them keep it for 9 months because they could not get warranty parts. since i got it back in July the following year we set it up for 3 days after i had had knee surgery to see if repairs had been made only to find out that it still had to go back to the shop.
first year 1 outing for 10 days, year 2, one setup, not repaired. year 3 in for inspection and repairs, they covered issues under warranty, but we found out not all repairs were done correctly. Year 4 this year got it out to get ready for camping season, black water tank problem from last year still was not properly taken care off, motor cover for awning was not put back on correctly and was not on camper when i tried to put awning out, since it got wet over winter it fried the motor. the cracked ladder they were told about last year that they taped the crack up on nit now is a charge.
they have known from day 1 that the refrigerator does not work properly of battery, so they put on and extra battery last year to fix the problem, battery's go dead in 6 hours over night while on battery boon docking. now I'm told i need lithium batteries at my cost.
Camper is still at the shop waiting for my approval to order parts at my cost and ive lost all of year 4 camping season.

is this the kind of issues everyone may be having and what recourse should i take with Grand Design?
