Here’s your RV industry update for February.

These numbers are coming from the RVIA shipment report, which you can view at RVIA.org.  Remember this report is not indicative of sales, just shipments into RV dealerships.

Comparing February 2025 to February 2024 (remember 2024 wasn’t a great year)

22,532 travel trailers shipped in February up 6.1% over February 2024 numbers.  Certainly not as big of a jump as last months numbers of 23.8% when compared to January of 2024.  However, still up YTD by 13.5% over 2024.

6,316 5th wheels shipped in February.  That’s up 28% when compared to February of 2024, and they are up 34.8% YTD when compared to 2024.  That’s a pretty strong turn around so far compared to slumping shipments of 5th wheels last year when they were in negative territory at times and ended the year only up .5%.

537 pop-up campers up 2.1% for February, 8% YTD.

257 truck campers down -7.6% but up 10.4% YTD.

Shipments of pop-ups and truck campers are pretty small. So, it doesn’t take too much of a change to move those numbers.

Meanwhile on the motor home front we are still in the negative numbers. However, class A motor homes have for now escaped the double-digit negatives.

Class A -6.5%

Class B -25.6

Class c -17.3

So, things continue to look a little more promising for the RV Towables market.  Whether this is indicative of more sales or just dealers being pushed more inventory at this point I can’t say.  However, one thing is for sure the class A, B, and C, motor home market continues to be in trouble.

RVIS’s CEO Craig Kirby states. “While the industry has seen modest shipment growth this year, it’s essential to remain cautiously optimistic. The market is showing signs of recovery, but we must stay mindful of potential economic headwinds and the need for sustained consumer confidence.”

Just my opinion but if you want to increase consumer confidence in the RV industry – lets make a better product…Just saying.

Until next time – happy camping.
