The weather cooled down considerably since we arrived in late September.  This has resulted in draining one tank of propane to run the furnace as temperatures dropped into the 40’s. On the bright side the days were still in the 70’s which makes it fantastic camping weather and a great time to visit Green Meadows in East Troy.

With October now here, there’s nothing better than heading to the Green Meadows Pumpkin Farm with our Daughter, Son in law, and grandson.  Green Meadows is located in East Troy which was about a 30 minute drive from our campground.  The price of admission includes your choice of a pumpkin from their field, which is huge.

Tammy and I wondered if it would be crowded.  As we arrived we noticed quite a few cars and a school bus in their parking lot;  however it really was not crowded at all.  At least not yet. So we grabbed our wagon and set out to find the perfect pumpkin.

Decisions…Decisions

This is much more than a Pumpkin Farm as there is a petting farm, pony rides, hay rides and a number of very creative playgrounds for the kids.  It would be easy to spend hours here before you would begin to look for Pumpkins, and then you may spend another hour combing through the fields for the perfect one.

If I could, this one would come home with me!

This really is a fantastic place.  The crowds that developed while we were there was proof that everyone loves this place.  Plan on packing a lunch and take your time to see the animals, you won’t be disappointed.
