It’s hard to believe, but the 2018 model travel trailers are only five months away from being revealed. The great new is that there is still time to get incredible deals on the 2017 models. The best deals we have ever seen are at RV shows. One of our favorites shows takes place every year at the Market Center in Dallas. There is a travel trailer for everyone and every budget.

The trip into Dallas for the February show was a cold one; at least by Texas standards. We stood outside Market Hall for about ten minutes waiting for the doors to open. The tickets are $15.00 for adults. However, there are discount coupons on-line. The coupon will bring the price down to $13.00. There is no charge for children under five years of age.
For those of you that haven’t been to an RV show; plan to spend at least four hours or more there so you can see a full range of trailers and what they have to offer. If you are in the market to buy an RV this is the right place to do it. Dealerships want to move their inventory, so the pricing on the RV’s is usually deeply discounted. So take advantage of this opportunity.
Wall to Wall RV’s
On the other hand if you are only doing research you’ll never get a better opportunity to talk to manufacturers representatives. We had long discussions with several manufacturers Reps, and really enjoyed listening to them talk about their manufacturing processes and features on their Travel Trailers. Don’t forget, this is a great opportunity to see which manufacturer produces a travel trailer that will fit your needs. Take your check list along (if you don’t have one check out our previous blog on choosing a travel trailer) and go through each trailer and see how it matches your requirements.
Finally, don’t forget, there are more Travel Trailers outside as well; so don’t forget to check them out while you are at the show.

It is surprising how many travel trailers are being made without the outside kitchen this year. This is an item we never wanted but once we bought our trailer (which had one); now it’s a must have. It is going to be interesting to see what changes are coming for 2018. While we were there, we actually saw a trailer floor plan that we really like. So there could be a new trailer in our future!
If you think there can’t be a travel trailer for everyone, guess again! If you or someone you know loves Jeeps, this pop-up camper may be just what they need:

The fun won’t stop there as you can attend free seminars as well. Some of the seminars this year covered topics ranging from how to clean your RV to RV, to how the power supply works.
